Nicola uses life writing in the form of poems and prose to embody personal experiences. These sometimes intimate portraits allow for her to expand and search for wider commonalities of human experience; through sharing, conversation and collaboration, Nicola continues her writing practice for a more public stage. Audio recording is an important part of Nicola’s practice, as she is concerned with traces and indexical marks; of which recorded voice is one. Allowing for a more immersive connection to her written work, each audio file is available to listen to alongside the text.

Nicola then moves on to drawing and mark making as an emotive response to her writings as the next stage in her creative process. Written works will be published in the future, and Nicola will be attending prose and poems performances. Updates will be announced on social media.
